Strange Google error

Strange Google error by quatzacoalt, on Flickr

For the past week I get this error when I try to login into my email account, hosted on Google Apps. It’s very strange because I’m the only one using this computer and I only have one Google account. For security reasons, I changed my password but the same keeps happenning. Anyone have the same or a similar problem? I would also like to point out that this doesn’t happen all the time! It’s a random thing, which makes it more frustrating!

Oh, Happy New Year too! First post of 2008 :P

Bolton is in London

There’s a new feature on Google Maps today. The Hybrid button has been replaced with a new Terrain button! The Hybrid mode however can be achieved by clicking on Satellite view and then checking the “Show labels” box. Go on, check it out!

Duplicate feed items in Google Reader

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

Google Reader is my RSS aggregator of choice ever since it first came out. I’m very happy with it and I’ve never looked back to the days I used a desktop app to read my RSS subscriptions (I used Newsfire back then). However, during the last few weeks I’ve noticed an annoying ‘bug’. I get duplicate feed items on numerous subscriptions. If it was in only one or two, I wouldn’t mind because it can happen sometimes. This ‘bug’ however is all over the place! Anybody else having the same problem?

Joost invites!

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

A few days ago I was invited to Joost. I haven’t played too much with it yet but I like what I’ve seen so far, especially the interface. If you’d like to check it for yourself, leave your email in the comments and I’ll send you an invite!

Works on PCs running Windows XP/Vista and Intel-based Macs running OS X 10.4 or later.

Invites left: 0

Update: Wow, that was quick! Edi, Ralph and micha I’ll send your invites soon! Andreas sorry you were 1 minute too late :( I’m sure the other guys can invite you when they receive theirs in a few days! ;)

Get invited to Fridaycities!

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Fridaycities is a new social network for London (At the moment, that is. They plan to expand to other cities around the globe in the future!). I’m a member for quite some time and I’m enjoying the site very much! I’ve read some interesting stuff about the city I live in for the past 6 years!

So if you want to join the fun, just go to Fridaycities.com and put the following invitation code in the box on the right of the homepage :)

Invitation code: jdzf3v6ilgx7

Update: Fridaycities is no more. It’s new name is Kudocities and it’s open to anyone to register.

Minor update on Google Reader

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

I just noticed a small update on the GUI of Google Reader. The sidebar on the left which shows your subscribed feeds has been updated and now includes a ‘Refresh’ button on top. The link to manage your subscriptions remains at the bottom of the sidebar. Nice little update, looks a lot better!

Update: Noticed some more changes. It seems that many links within the GUI of Google Reader have been changed into buttons, such as the ‘Mark all as read’ at the top of the viewing pane. I love it! :D
